DANCE TERRITORY #1
Performance and exchange w. Ouagadougou, in Århus 21-22 June 2016
DANCE TERRITORY is an international zone inhabited by young dancers, choreographers, artists and musicians.
Beyond frontiers, across from boarders, ethnicity, religion and gender roles, DANCE TERRITORY is a place of new initiatives and free collaborations, a haven for exchange of artistic perspectives and personal experiences.
Through laboratories and workshops, we engage in dialogue and creation, bringing together artists from different parts of the globe.
In 2016 we focus on dance meetings featuring artists from Denmark and Burkina Faso, now residents in the new republique of dance.
Our aim is to gain a renewed perspective on the global community that we are all part of.
The artistic anchors of performance project and exchange program DANCE TERRITORY #1 are Lacina Coulibaly, choreographer (Burkina Faso) and Pipaluk, choreographer (Denmark), in collaboration dancers Esther Tarbangdo, Bachir Tassembedo, Kiki Jean Robert Koudogbo, Mariam Traore, and musicians Issouf Diarra, Boureima Diarra, Nadège Ouedraogo and Cyril Mossé.
We invite the Danish dance community to meet the beautiful and vibrant dance community of Ouagadougou, modern dancers, choreographers and musicians from West Africa.
Made possible with support from CKU, Statens Kunstfond and Aarhus Kommune
