Copenhagen Dream House is a production company initiating artistic collaborations involving choreographers, dancers, composers, musicians, installation artists, engineers and designers from around the world.
Since 2001 a core group of Danish and international artists worked together out of Copenhagen, San Francisco and Berlin.
Our productions include large scale site specific events like Sailing City, Battle of Copenhagen, 100 Dancers, Crane Dance, and Half Machine installations and events.
Our projects often focus on creating open artistic environments, dancers and performers interacting with installation artists, musicians, programmers, engineers and scientists.
We embrace concepts where both artists and audience contribute to a process of creation and discovery.
A recurring theme is the human body suspended between the elements of nature and urban components.
We research, challenge and re-discover, within the parameters of a specific environment or location. Site specific performance and art experiences, emerge through dance and physical interaction, through live music, and engaging with the elements of nature, water, light and fire.
Our work includes dialogue and co-creation with local partners, towards unique and relevant live experiences.
We collaborate with highly skilled dancers, aerial dancers, sound artists, musicians and installation artists. We dance on ships, in a 60 m tall crane, on walls and buildings, in harbours and lakes, and illuminate urban spaces.
Our productions may involve your local fire brigade or ferryboat, a 10 ton aquarium or a historic sailing ship.
We are open to proposals for both indoor and outdoor locations.
Based on dialogue, we will create a unique concept for the chosen location.
Our productions may include workshops and open collaborations with local institutions and participants of all ages.
