Land Dance

LAND DANCE invites you to experience the beautiful landscapes and historical ruins of Denmark, in the company of dancers and musicians.
Join us on a journey into nature; where original music and movement is inspired by the physical encounter with our surroundings and the stories of our local landmarks.
LAND DANCE illuminates the atmosphere of a chosen place, suggesting a poetic way to rediscover Danish landscapes by simple means; dance, movement and acoustic music.

LAND DANCE is created by local and international performers and musicians, initiated by Danish choreographer Pipaluk. Original music is played live, by Søren Hammerlund on old nordic instruments and Andy Benz on cello and double bass.
The artists work with improvisation to connect elements of nature, of history, and the human body.
We invite our audience to join us in discovering new perspectives, as we contemplate how our inner nature relates to our surroundings.

LAND DANCE is on tour in Denmark in 2021 and 2022, with performances on Zealand, Funen, Bornholm and Jutland, thanks to The Danish Arts Foundation.
