Beneath the Northern lights, the adventurous sailing ship HELT carries artists, climate scientists, dancers and musicians, into remote Norwegian fjords.
HELT is a platform for artistic explorations and debate, for research and activism.
Participants from around the world join our projects, discovering how artistic practice, climate activism, sailing and nature expeditions, connect us.
Together we encounter and explore, the oceans, the wind, the grand landscapes and ecosystems of earth.
HELT Earth Sail begins in September 2025 in Lofoten.

HELT was built on the west coast of Norway in 1932, and nicknamed ‘Queen of the Sea’.
She is currently exploring the breathtaking landscapes around Lofoten and Tromsø.
Sailing with HELT is the beginning of new journey in the far north of Europe, inspired by our sailing performances and activist projects in Danish waters and harbors with sailing ship ‘Hawila’ (Hawila Project).
Here artists, sailors, dancers, acrobats, musicians, activists, scientists and researchers from many continents, incl. Africa and India, sailed and created together.
Central collaborators are captain and climate scientist Samuel Faucherre and choreographer and artistic director Pipaluk Supernova, now initiating HELT Earth Sail.
The focus of HELT Earth Sail is to investigate our relationship to nature in a very tangible way, moving with the landscapes and the wind.
Sailing offers a very physical way to interact with the forces of nature, and our team of dancers guides us into the north lands on foot, connecting our bodies to earth, dancing with the terrain, the myths, and the elements.
HELT Earth Sail is currently assembling a new team of partners, sponsors, artists and researchers for our projects in 2025 and 2026.
